Monday- "Poetry Jam": Students will submit their original  poetry to the ELA teacher to be displayed on the Poetry Wall.

Tuesday-"Tigers are Wild about Reading": Students and teachers will wear clothing with animal print and wild colored socks.  Uniform bottoms must be worn.

Wednesday-" T-Shirt Literacy Day": Teachers and students will be encouraged to wear a t-shirt with writing on it. Uniform bottoms must be worn.

Thursday- "Extra, Extra Read all About": Students will wear white and black uniforms to symbolize newspapers.  In their social studies classes, they will spend 10 minutes reading an article(s) from one or more newspapers. 

Community Leaders: Community leaders will volunteer to read to students.

Friday- "Be a Good Sport and Read!": Wear sports/team clothing to show support for literacy and create bookmarks in ELA class.  Uniform bottoms must be worn.
